The breeze from the south, blew past my abode,
Bringing with it, the scent of a time so cold;
Throwing the curtains out of fold,
Throwing my long tombed memories out of hold.

A year and another past that fateful night,
An eternity into the insufferable blight,
A lifetime, since you took flight,
Forever, since it shone so bright.
